Anti-Immigration anger got out of hand in southern Italy, as all situations do when governments fail to carry out their responsibilities.  While we should condemn the (relatively tame) violence in Southern Italy (BB Guns were the weapons used), can't we also open our eyes and see the logical progression that led up to this lamentable event?

Unbridled Immigration is a Recipe for Disaster!

Cultures do clash.  The wider the cultural differences, the bigger the clash. I respect Pope Benedict's defense of immigrants.  We must defend their human rights, and any violence against them is way out of line and should be criminally prosecuted.

But where is the respect for the host country, its laws and the cultural norms of its citizens?  It's not a fundamental human right to breach borders and upset the traditional order.  Immigrant invasions end up satisfying no one, producing cultural strife and anger on all sides.

Unassimilable bigots have brought us honor killings, cartoonist menacing, and enraged rantings over religious slights that Christians and Jews simply shrug off on a daily basis.  Their criminal treatment of women leaves the average American male chauvinist pig blushing with inadequacy.

Are we supposed to passively stand by as our cultural rug is pulled out from under our feet?  Hell No!

A Nation has a Right to Set its Own Immigration Policy

It is not a fundamental human right to invade my country, and it is not racist or bigoted to pick and choose who comes in.  It's self preservation.  If you're foaming at the mouth and hate our freedoms, you can't come in!

Our refusal to do our own dirty work contributes greatly to this problem
Real welfare reform would see those on the dole doing jobs "Americans just won't do."  Take away the food stamps, and hunger will become a great motivator.  Also, there was a time when college kids did farm work and bussed tables to pay for their education instead of daddy and Uncle Sam going into hock to pick up their tab...

  Alright, I'm really PO'd about illegal immigration! 

To think that the retards in congress would reward criminal trespass and identity theft with free US citizenship galls me. It also chaps my ass that any foreign fertility goddess who crosses the border can squeeze out a pup and, bingo! She's won the US lottery!  

Who's stupider than us, huh?  
But anyway, I started this rant because Hispanics in America are getting a bum rap, and it ain't fair. They ain't all illegal, and the ones that are wouldn't be here if the US Chamber of Commerce, businesses, and the Democratic party hadn't lured them with open borders, pathetic immigration enforcement, no-questions-asked employment and a cornucopia of social services only dreamed of south of the border.

We keep hearing they will one day be the largest demographic group in the US, and whitey is supposed to tremble at the thought. Well, that's like saying German-descent people are the majority now. Yeah, it's true, but your average Yank don't know any Deutsche besides Der Wienerschnitzel and beatchen. We've assimilated.
 
Hispanics assimilate easily 
I know, some treat your neighborhood like little Jalisco, slaughtering hogs in the front yard and playing mariachi music all night... But give them a generation or two. Texas is filled with people with Hispanic last names who don't know a lick of Spanish.  

How do I know Hispanics are easily assimilated? The evidence is all around us!

If a guy's name is Jose Ramos and he don't talk like the Frito Bandido no more, he's assimilated!  

Hispanics intermarry like crazy. Like coffee and milk, American whiteys and Latin lovers just can't help mixin' it up. And the results are beautiful (excuse my moment of soft-boiled weakness). 

If you say to some guy named Rodriguez, "Oye vato! Que onda?" and he says, "Excuse me, I'm with a patient right now," he's assimilated!  

The average Hispanic newcomer is: 
* Christian 
* entrepreneurial (No safety nets in Latin America!) 
* hard working (again, no safety nets...) 
* anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, anti-tax 
* willing to live in a one bedroom apartment with 58 other men until he saves up for a place of his own 
* and almost as friendly as a drunken Irishman 

It's a natural GOP constituency if we can just get them out of the shadows and free them from the clutches of social workers waving food stamps and la raza plying them with illegal ballots and fake drivers licenses.  

Here in Europe, the average Brit, Swiss or Dane would trade their Muslims for our Hispanic "problem" in a heartbeat. Count your blessings, Dammit!

If the thought of an "honor killing" on American soil doesn't disgust you and make you boil with patriotic rage, you're brain dead! 

I live in Europe, I've lived in North America, and I've lived in that armpit they call the Middle East. No contest which I think is better!

Why the hell do Western nations continue to allow these troublemaking Muslims to immigrate? Look at a map.  Wherever there's trouble, angry turbaned men with beards are involved.

Our cultures are incompatible.  We enjoy pork bbq and beer, use toilet paper and refrain from female genital mutilation, for example.

Many Muslim immigrants refuse to assimilate, and the only way to have peace here in the West is to give in to their fleck spittled agitations at the expense of our cultural norms.  Not while I have breath in my body!  Better to close the gates...

It is extremely difficult to talk honestly about Muslim immigration. All generalisations about it are subject to countless exceptions. Muslims are very different from each other.

Most are reasonably successful. But a much bigger minority end up with social, political, extremist or other problems resulting from a lack of integration than is the case with any other cohort of immigrants in Western societies. A lack of honest discussion about this results in bad policy.

He goes on to recommend a book by Christopher Caldwell, Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam and the West.

Jacob Laksin at City Journal recommends the book as well.

Polls show that some 70 percent of Britons believe that there are too many immigrants in their country. Majorities throughout Western Europe agree, and Muslim immigrants in particular are viewed with suspicion.

Europe is a Benignly Racist Continent
Despite the finger-wagging at America, many Europeans are fundamentally and unconsciously racist and insular. Here in Germany, people from the next village over are considered outsiders, fellow German speakers from Austria are treated as the enemy, and those who hail from farther afield have no hope of ever fitting in in the land of beer and bratwurst. 

Europeans are in a jam, trying to steer a course between the Charybdis of bigotry and the Scylla of cultural destruction. Worse, the entire continent is in denial. Muslims are to blame as well, especially when they display open contempt for their new home:

I hope the US can learn the right lessons from Europe's immigration debacle. Reading Caldwell's book would be a good start.

Are we crazy? Three cases where the criminals become the victim

The Justice Department has just told the state of Georgia that their system to prevent illegal aliens from voting is discriminatory.

Here in Colorado, the ACLU has sued the Weld County DA for breaking an illegal alien identity theft ring by executing a search warrant on an income tax preparer. 1,300 illegal aliens were found to be engaged in identity theft in Greeley, Colorado, but they're still living and working there, violating the law with impunity while the county is bogged down with a lawsuit costing it over $100,000.

An Oklahoma pharmacist faces murder charges for shooting and killing a miscreant who attempted to rob his store and kill the employees. You can see the video on YouTube and judge for yourself. After some major stress like that, I can understand his actions completely, regardless of what the dead perp's grieving family had to say: "He was a good boy, he liked to draw pictures... Fell in with the wrong crowd... Didn't deserve to die this way... Bla bla bla." He's smokin' a dog turd in hell now...

Are we crazy? Yes we are.

Dying for A Bargain

If you or a loved one is flying anywhere soon, this should give you pause:

Airline Mechanics don't speak, read English

News 8 has recently revealed serious flaws in the way the FAA licenses mechanics who fix planes.

There are more than 236 FAA-certified aircraft repair stations in Texas, according to the FAA's Web site. News 8 has learned that hundreds of the mechanics working in those shops do not speak English and are unable to read repair manuals for today's sophisticated aircraft.

The root of the problem is money, mechanics say. A certified mechanic can earn upwards of $25 an hour in Texas. Technicians who can't speak English are often hired for less than $10, according to mechanics interviewed by News 8.

"I've been wanting to leave this company since the day I got there," said one certified A&P. "But with the economy the way it is, I've got kids to feed and I have to stay there. I don't want to be anywhere near one of those planes when it kills somebody."

A few points to ponder: Free trade does not mean accepting sub-standard crap from your trading partners. Illegal immigration drives down wages. Finally, there is no free lunch. You get what you pay for. Think about that next time you fly.

A Minority in a Strange & Hostile Land

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat.
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don't get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
* They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day, every day.

I'm not talking about illegal aliens ~ I'm talking about our troops! Doesn't it seem strange that our politicians are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but propose to cut funding for our troops?

Sheriff Joe Stares Down the Banditos

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is in another showdown with the banditos. Only this time, La Racista and the MALDEF gang are bringing the federales.

That's right, the Obama administration is investigating Sheriff Joe at the behest of leftist Hispanic bullhorn brigades. AZ Central reports:

Officials from the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division notified Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Tuesday that they had begun the investigation, which will focus on whether deputies are engaging in "patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures.

Sheriff Joe is not intimidated:

"I am not going to be intimidated by the politics and by the Justice Department," Arpaio said. "I want the people of Arizona to know this: I will continue to enforce all the immigration laws."

In the 1990s, the department conducted similar civil-rights investigations and found patterns of police discrimination in about 20 cases, including in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh. In those cases, law-enforcement agencies agreed to significant changes aimed at preventing discrimination or face a court injunction, Harris said.

Los Angeles is now overrun with Illegal aliens, including violent Central American gangs. That's the real goal: Turn Arizona into California. You can't say Obama's Justice Department isn't ambitious.

Arpaio a Victim of a Witch Hunt

Opponents don't like sheriff's deputies using traffic violations as probable cause to stop a vehicle and then questioning those inside about immigration.

Still, not liking such a practice and suggesting that it's illegal are two widely different things. Cops use traffic violations to nab all types of bad guys. (Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was captured after being stopped for not having a license plate on his getaway car.)

Here's the kicker, courtesy of CNS. They quote a press release from Maricopa County detailing the prisoner interview deputies have conducted:

16,000 inmates were determined to be illegal aliens. Either they have already been deported or will be deported after being tried and/or serving their sentences for crimes committed in the valley. The work being done be Arpaio’s detention staff is a likely contributor to the recent reduction in crime in the valley,” the press release added.

The press release goes on to say that 20 percent of inmates in the Maricopa County Jail are illegal aliens and that of those, 2,000 illegal aliens - 70 percent - were arrested for felony crimes.

Law enforcement rounding up criminals and daring to check immigration status, the very idea! Not in Obama's Democratic-controlled America!

Pelosi Galore

Nancy Pelosi is an ignorant woman. She ended up in congress because she is unqualified for any other job. First she lectured the Pope and the US Bishops on church doctrine concerning abortion, and now she calls an assembled group of illegal aliens "Very, very patriotic."

In Pelosi's America, the unpatriotic ones are the American defenders of the law who track down illegal aliens so they can be deported. "Un-American" is how she described them. The Obama administration, in partnership with racist Hispanic agitator gangs, are investigating Sheriff Joe Arpaio for enforcing the law. See how things work in a Democratic-run America?

The dumbest person to ever wield the speaker's gavel also blurted this out:

"Who in this country would not want to change a policy of kicking in doors in the middle of the night and sending a parent away from their families?"

Kicking in doors? The last time I remember that happening was when President Clinton and Janet Reno ordered Elian Gonzalez to be dragged back to Fidel Castro's Communist gulag after his mom died getting him here.

She ignores that old saying, "The family that gets deported together stays together." My government is not responsible for family separation when Mama gets deported and Daddy and the kids decide to stay in the US.

The citizenry of a democracy get the government they deserve. Wake up America, before there's no America left to wake up to.

Mexodus

Mexicans are self-deporting because of the bad economy, heading south for Christmas.

DENVER – After going months without a full-time job, Daniel Ramirez has decided it's time to return to family in Mexico.

Vicenta Rodriguez Lopez says she can't afford to live in Colorado any more because her husband was deported.

Roberto Espinoza is going back, too. After 18 years as a mechanic for a General Motors dealership in Denver, his work permit wasn't renewed and he didn't want to remain in the country illegally.

All are leaving Colorado in time for Christmas — joining a traditional holiday migration that will number almost 1 million people, says Mexico's interior ministry. But they have no intention of returning to Colorado, a place that promised prosperity.

I've never been one to demonize illegal immigrants; they've got mouths to feed and we encourage them to sneak over and go to work. I don't blame them; I blame our government and the crooked business owners who have created this human rights misdemeanor of encouraging illegality and rewarding it with criminally low pay, no benefits, and legal harassment. We are a sick society that dangles a carrot then whacks with the stick.

Meanwhile, why are we denying a work permit visa for someone who has been legally employed here for 18 years? Mr. Espinoza is obeying the law. That's the person we should be inviting to become a citizen, not sending back home.

Not to worry. This southward tide of humanity will reverse course once the Democrats' New Deal jobs program kicks in. Building infrastructure is gritty, backbreaking work that rarely stops for inclement weather. Many unemployed Americans will be holding out for government-sponsored office jobs, and businesses will be holding out for cheap labor. Mexicans, God bless 'em, will fill that gap.

Illegal Immigrants do Illegal Things

Thousands of inmates admit they're in the U.S. illegally, but even those convicted of violent crimes are often released right back onto Houston's streets.

This is from a Houston Chronicle article. Illegal aliens do illegal things. This is not news. ICE and local law enforcement turn them loose. Now that's news. And it should be illegal.

Not to worry, President Obama will fix everything:

"We voted in large numbers for Obama," said Juan Salgado, board president of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, a nonprofit based in Chicago, Obama's training ground for immigration issues when he was a senator. "If we're sitting here two and a half years from now and absolutely nothing's been done, people are going to start asking questions."

Immigration advocates say Obama owes a debt to Latino voters, who voted 67 percent in his favor overall, according to a poll for America's Voice, a national communications campaign that favors legal residency for illegal immigrants. Latino support helped him capture such formerly Republican states as Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada. Immigrant voters gave Obama the highest support - 78 percent of Latino immigrants voted for him, compared with 61 percent of US born-Latinos.

So the Democrats will pass amnesty, rewarding another block of liberal voters. What? Latinos are natural Republicans because they have family values ? Bull!

They divorce and drop out of school at higher rates than African Americans. Half of Hispanic babies are born out of wedlock. Hispanic illegal aliens put their children in peril as they break our laws. So much for family values. This is a group of permanent liberal Democratic voters.

If you're against illegal immigration and amnesty, you'd better start marshaling an intelligent argument, because the deck is stacked against you.

Self Deportation

Looks like Homeland Security has come up with a Self-Deportation Plan for people here illegally. It sounds a little silly, something only a government bureaucrat could cook up. Hey, if this works, we could start a criminal self-identification plan! Forget having the police chase down bad guys, we just get them to turn themselves in!

Don't laugh too soon: The Christian Science Monitor reports that immigrants are self-deporting. They estimate that 1.2 million have chosen to return home. The reason? Enforcement. Here's an excerpt:

Americans who want strict law enforcement before a "total" immigration solution now have proof that stronger enforcement can bring results.

Exhibit A: The illegal migrant population has dropped an estimated 11 percent through May after hitting a peak last August, based on census data used in a report by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS). Much of that decline is due to people who self-deported by slipping back across the border.

The drop began well before unemployment went up, which points to the real success story: Washington's wake-up call last summer to beef up enforcement, from plugging leaks in the border to cracking down on employers who hire illegal workers.

Remember last summer? Fed-up citizens got mad as hell about illegal immigration and the politicians listened. Enforcement has been beefed up on the border and job sites are being raided. Fast track deportations are on the rise and ICE agents are also targeting more criminal gangs. Representative democracy still works.

This is the humane way to deal with the situation: Patching the screen door and covering up the sugar bowl is easier than killing all the flies. The final piece is to jail and fine those who stick it to the American working class by hiring illegal aliens and paying them a slave wage with no bennies.

Seeing business owners and managers publicly frog-marched out of their offices in handcuffs during those immigration raids would be the cherry on top of the cake.

Honor Killing in Georgia

Unassimilated immigrants will destroy this country.

I don't mind letting legal immigrants in, but they've got to leave the head cutting and 6th century obscurantism and misogyny at the door. Oh, and learn English while you're at it! Especially if you anticipate that your petty bigotry and overinflated sense of "honor" will land you in front of a judge.

Illegal Tuition

More states are denying in-state tuition rates to the "undocumented." File this under "B" for Boo hoo. Is there any other country on the planet that extends billions in benefits to those who break in illegally? The US stands for Uncle Sucker. But more states are wising up (or getting meaner, according to illegal immigrant coddlers). Here's an excerpt from USA Today:

Some states are making it harder for illegal immigrants to attend college by denying in-state tuition benefits or banning undocumented students.

In the past two years, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and Oklahoma have refused in-state tuition benefits to students who entered the USA illegally with their parents but grew up and went to school in the state. That represents a reversal from earlier this decade, when 10 states passed laws allowing in-state rates for such students.

Here's my favorite quote from the article. Somebody needs to tell Rep Harrison that it's not generosity if you hand out other people's money :

Helping them is "the right thing to do even if it's unpopular," says North Carolina state Rep. Pricey Harrison, a Democrat who introduced a bill that would prevent state institutions from asking about students' immigration status.

Illegal Immigration

Not only are Illegal immigrants exploited by greedy employers who refuse to pay a decent wage, they are also exploited by their own countrymen. In the US as well as in Mexico. Breitbart reports that authorities discovered a single family home being used to hold immigrants, including children, against their will. Mexicans imprisoning other Mexicans here in the US. Think about that for a minute… This is not your grandfather’s immigration.

On a related note, notice how the latest trend in the press is to express concern for the children and how ICE is ripping them from their parents? That’s admirable, but why don’t they ever express the same concern when a US citizen single parent or a husband & wife are arrested for something?

I feel bad for the illegal immigrants. They are trapped between a home country that cares nothing for them and a new land of prosperity and shadows. The root cause is Mexican Corruption. I wish the press and our politicians would talk more about that. Unfortunately, cataloging the sins of the US is much more profitable.
