Take that bomb and shove it up your...

We always knew these terrorist types were deviant perverts, but this over the top...

"(CBS) Al Qaeda has developed a new tactic that allows suicide bombers to breach even the tightest security, as CBS News correspondent Sheila MacVicar reports."

To get his bomb into this room, Abdullah Asieri, one of Saudi Arabia's most wanted men, avoided detection by two sets of airport security including metal detectors and palace security.

How did he do it?

Asieri had a pound of high explosives, plus a detonator inserted in his rectum.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wonder how long it will take for this to become a trend in the larger terrorist and or gay community?
ACORN Assists Genital Contractors
The Audacity of Hos:  John Stewart is Funny Again
It's great watching the president's old shakedown syndicate, ACORN, getting the snot kicked out of it in the press and in DC.
Even the NY Times is jumping in! You can read The Opinionator article here. It's a good summary of what lefties and righties are saying about the scandal.
As a bonus, there's a John Stewart clip at the end that is hilarious. He really jabs the press, as well as invents a few of his own euphemisms for prostitute. My favorite: "Genital Contractor." It's great to see comedians being funny again without worrying about the politics of it...
Revolutionary Indicators
We are living in revolutionary times. Institutions that we have taken for granted are being completely revamped. People's perception of government is radically changing. Power is escaping its Constitutional cage.
I believe the form of the future is always around us -- the seeds of which were planted yesterday, are quietly growing today, and ready to bloom tomorrow. The key to being ahead of the curve is to be observant of those small shoots. I'll present some of them here.
Indicator 1: Massive Washington Tea Party
While the probable count was around 1.5 to 2 million, each individual who attended represented ten to twenty people who could not.
Indicator 2: Internet search terms
I subscribe to a bi-monthly digest of top Internet search terms. In the past, I just took a quick look through the search words (mostly pop culture and porn) but this year began to take a closer examination. I compiled conservative search terms with their ranking in the list. Interesting.
Indicator 3: American's attitudes toward traditional seats of power
I am not aware of any recent President falling so fast, so soon. And the Main Stream Media? Time to pull the plug. The brain died years ago.
Indicator 4: 2nd Amendment purchases
Far from mere talk, these people are laying down cold cash to support their beliefs even in the face of a severe economic downturn. It is estimated that two billion extra rounds of ammunition have been purchased this last year over and above the seven billion usually sold. Gun sales mirror this increase. NICS background checks only cover a portion of 2nd Amendment sales, the actual volume is likely significantly higher.
Indicator 5: Abandonment of houses and debts
Strategic default is the term used for those who bail out of a house to preserve what capital they have. Couple this trend with those who are maxing out credit cards without any intention of paying - credit charge off rates are approaching 12%. It seems as though the cost in a ruined credit score is not enough to stop them - like there is no tomorrow.
Indicator 6: Tenth Amendment assertion by individual States
Each point represents a state that has explored in some degree their 10th Amendment rights in defiance to an expanding federal government.
Indicator 7: Civilian law enforcement by military personnel
Despite the traditional prohibitions of Posse Comitatus, these are some of the verified law enforcement-like activities of the US military within CONUS over the past year, usually under the aegis of NORTHCOM:
Pittsburgh
The Kentucky Derby
Samson, AL
San Bernardino County, CA
Boston
Indianapolis
El Paso
Interstate 35 in Texas
Whiteville, TN
Kingman, AZ
Newport, KY
Washington, D.C.
Taken together, these indicators seem to say it's not 2009. It's 1764.
Muslim Immigration: Invitation to Murder?
Why are we allowing Muslims to immigrate to our country?
Nobody else is asking the obvious question, so I will. With all the terror plots in the news, I think it's a relevant question.
This is not an anti-Muslim screed
One of my favorite bosses of all time is a Muslim. He was just one of tens of thousands to honorably serve his country in the US armed forces. If white Eastern European Christians (my background) were blowing stuff up and cutting off heads all over the world, I would call for an immigration moratorium on them as well.
All Muslims are not terrorists, but outside of Tim McVeigh and the Earth Liberation nuts, all recent terrorist activity on our soil has involved Muslims. Given that there is an
8 in 10 chance that an immigrant from the Muslim world hates our Yankee cowboy guts, why do we let even a single one immigrate?
I know there are good Muslims there who want to come here, but why take a chance? The State Department is obviously no good at separating the good from the dangerous. We hope we're getting Fouad Ajamis. Instead we end up with Najibulla Zazis, angry young men cruising Denver beauty parlors collecting peroxide to make bombs.
Selective Immigration is not Discrimination
Discrimination, as legally defined in US Code, has nothing to do with immigration policy. If we're not free to choose who to let in to our country, then we've lost our sovereignty. But once we let someone in, they are protected by the constitution, and plotting terrorists know that and use it to their advantage. Are we stupid?  Yes we are.
We Owe Them Nothing, especially not a US passport
Some say we owe the Iraqis and Afghanis because we invaded their countries. Bull! They owe us! For the blood and treasure we've spent trying to give them a shot at improving their little corner of hell on earth.
Besides, we already have enough home-grown idiots, why import more? Why bring hatred, petty grievances and religious chauvinism to our doorstep?
It may be too late for Europe (I pray it's not), but we still have a chance to save our unique Western civilization from the clutches of those who want to destroy it.
Lessons from 20th Century Wars: Go Big or Go Home
There is no such thing as a humane war. Indulging in such fantasies, with CNN enforcing the rules, has made the world a more dangerous place.
GANJGAL, Afghanistan — We walked into a trap, a killing zone of relentless gunfire and rocket barrages from Afghan insurgents hidden in the mountainsides and in a fortress-like village where women and children were replenishing their ammunition. (Source: Jonathan Landay, a real battlefield reporter for McClatchy)
David Warren, trenchant thinker and writer from Canada, observes that "The Second World War was the unfinished business of the First World War."
Germans were left with the possibility of believing that they hadn't really lost the war, that they had been somehow cheated at Versailles, that in the upshot of their military aggression they were somehow victims not perpetrators...
This is precisely what made the Hitler phenomenon possible in Germany. And it was the bitter experience of 1945 -- the unconditional surrender of Germany, in the ruins of Berlin -- that ultimately cleansed the German nation of militarist ambitions.
Is is no longer possible to just go in and completely wipe somebody out in a fiery, bloody carnage. Gotta protect their dignity, can't kill any "innocent" civilians whose skirts the "brave fighters" are hiding behind. Nobody gets their ass beat anymore, and that's the problem.
We rained down fiery hell on Germany and Japan, followed up by an allied land invasion, full occupation, and execution of the guilty. Look at them now... They don't wanna fight no more.
War is Hell
That's how you take the fight out of people. A little inhumanity up front saves a whole lot of it down the road.
That is what General Tecumseh Sherman meant when he said "War is hell." He believed it should be hell in order to teach the belligerents a harsh, bloody lesson that would make them think twice before starting something again.
Ralph Peters explains:
It isn't just that war is hell. It's that war must be hell, otherwise why would the enemy ever quit?
We are no longer permitted to visit hell upon our enemies. They can take us on and live to fight (and brag about it) another day. We had better learn to pick our fights: Go big or go home. Otherwise, we're just wasting peoples' lives.
Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, lone survivor of Operation Redwing, said it best:
If you don't want to get into a war where things go wrong, where the wrong people sometimes get killed, where innocent people sometimes have to die, then stay the hell out of it in the first place.
-- Marcus Luttrell, Navy Seal, from Lone Survivor, p. 313
Does it Smell Like Hope in Here or Did Somebody Just Cut One?
The president went to the international freakshow at the International House of Corruption and Scandal Wednesday. A day when the Mad Dog of Maghreb Qaddafi foamed at the mouth for over 100 minutes.
So here's a question. Which egotistical potentate stood up at that international improv and did the following?
... casually embraced the consensus view that the US engaged in torture?
... applauded the idea that the USA must strip itself of all nuclear weapons?
... bragged that his country had joined torturers Cuba and Saudi Arabia on the UN "Human Rights" council?
Here are a few direct quotes:
No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. No balance of power among nations will hold.
The traditional division between nations of the south and north makes no sense in an interconnected world. Nor do alignments of nations rooted in the cleavages of a long gone Cold War."
"wealthy nations that did so much to damage the environment in the 20th century"
"The United Nations does extraordinary good around the world in feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and mending places that have been broken."
* He forgot to mention raping victims of war and famine in Africa, and stealing food from the mouths of Iraqis during the Hussein regime. -ed.
Of course, Barack Obama, the Jimmy Carter for the new millennium, said these things.
One wag observed that if some foreign leader had given that speech during the Bush, or even Clinton years, our delegation would have walked out.
And from the depths of his wisdom and vision, he brought forth this daring statement of the obvious:
Today, I put forward four pillars that are fundamental to the future that we want for our children: non-proliferation and disarmament; the promotion of peace and security; the preservation of our planet; and a global economy that advances opportunity for all people.
Propaganda Minister Gibbs later came out and announced Obama was also for blue skies, rainbows, and a pony for each child of the world. He also released this statement by the president:
"To achieve a nuclear free world we must eliminate nuclear weapons. Peace can only happen if we end war. Air, food, and water are essential for human life."
And did you hear what Venezuelan tin pot dictator Hugo Chavez said during his speech?
Mr. Chavez looked around him at the green-marble podium and said, "I don't smell sulfur anymore. It's gone. Now, it's the smell of something else -- it's the smell of hope. You have to have hope in your heart."
Don't you feel better now that this assembled rabble of torturers, perverts, rapists and international scam artists has finally greeted an American president with thunderous applause?
Rifqa Bary: The Flip Side of Religious Intolerance
Conservatives in the know are up on what's happening down in Florida concerning Muslim convert to Christianity Rifqa Bary.
Perhaps the girl really is in danger, but too many conservative Christians damned her family to hell instead of waiting for the facts, all because they are Muslim
I was roundly flamed at the time for condemning this rush to judgment against a suspect group as unfaithful to our constitution. I asked these crusaders to pause and consider that it could happen to them as well, since Christianity is already suspect in many corners of this nation.
Well, here's the other side playing out in New Hampshire:
One of these courts is in New Hampshire, where a judge recently ordered that home-schooled Amanda Kurowski be sent to public school. The order signed by Family Court Justice Lucinda V. Sandler says the 10-year-old's Christian faith could use some shaking up—and that the local public school is just the place to do it. [...]
This is based on complaints from Amanda's father, divorced from her mother for 10 years. The mother had primary custody and has chosen to home-school the girl, including religion in her curriculum.
But the order appears to be based on the guardian ad litem's worry about Amanda's "rigidity on faith." The order also accepts the same guardian's conclusion that Amanda belongs in a public school because she "would be best served by exposure to different points of view at a time in her life when she must begin to critically evaluate multiple systems of belief and behavior and cooperation in order to select, as a young adult, which of those systems will best suit her own needs."
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so:
The family unit is sacrosanct, and unless lawbreaking is going on, no judge or pastor or anyone else has any business poking their nose in. This is a fundamental freedom that conservative Christians usually stand up for.
It's all well and good until Uncle Sam decides to bust up your Jesus Camp and liberate your brain-washed kids from your home and your authority.
Religious bigotry cuts both ways...
Michael Moore is a Fat Hypocritical Capitalist Pig
Liberals are stupid. Two examples:
They burn the flag, a symbol of the nation that guarantees the right to burn the symbol of the nation that guarantees the right... Get the picture? Like a dog chasing its own tail, or worse, eating its own excrement.
The second example is even easier: Michael Moore declares capitalism evil--nevermind the fact that the system has made him a millionaire. So I guess he is evil for using that evil system to take money from poor schlubs who pay to watch his chintzy imitations of Leni Riefenstahl.
Well, Dr. Walter E. Williams, Economics professor at George Mason University, has the cure.
First, he gives a classic textbook definition of capitalism and our republican government's role in that system:
Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private ownership and control over the means of production. The distribution of goods and services and their prices are mainly determined by competition in a free market. Under such a system the primary job of government is to protect private property, enforce contracts and ensure rule of law.
Next, he destroys Moore's ignorant assertion that capitalism is evil. (Why do I say Moore is ignorant? Because he says capitalism should be replaced with democracy. The first is an economic system, the second is a system of government. And actually, captialism provides the most democratic marketplace. But Mike has never let the facts get in the way of a good bon mot.)
Back to Dr. Williams:
Moore's film features priests who say capitalism is anti-Christian by failing to protect the poor. This is pure nonsense and revealed as such by asking, "If you're an unborn spirit, condemned by God to a life of poverty but allowed to choose the country in which to be poor, would you choose a country near the communist end of the economic spectrum or the capitalist end?"
If you chose the United States, you'd find that according to the government surveys, the typical "poor" American has cable or satellite TV, two color TVs, and a DVD player or VCR. He has air conditioning, a car, a microwave, a refrigerator, a stove, and a clothes washer and dryer, and whether he has health insurance or not, he is able to obtain medical care when needed.
Try to find that in Cuba, Russia, China or North Korea. If we buy into the nonsense of Moore's priests, the world's poor people are incredibly stupid. Whether fleeing legally or illegally, their destination country is likely to be closer to capitalism than their departure country.
Dr. Williams goes on, in one succinct paragraph, to explain how this mess that Moore lays at the feet of capitalism is really the fault of an overweening, anti-capitalist government. I highly recommend you read the full article.
BTW, you Michael Moore fans: You're suckers. You don't really think this overfed millionaire actually believes in the self-loathing liberal porn he peddles to you, do you? Can you say, "Baaaaah?"
Liberals Give us The Finger
Like swarms of know-it-all gnats or plagues of lecturing locusts, progressive do-gooders just can't refrain from admonishing us...
Another day, another scold from the Obama White House. First they tell us to wash our hands and show us how to sneeze, now they're going to teach us about "green-house gas emissions":
When it comes to greenhouse-gas emissions, Energy Secretary Steven Chu sees Americans as unruly teenagers and the Administration as the parent that will have to teach them a few lessons.
The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act,” Dr. Chu said. “The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.” (In that case, the Energy Department has a few renegade teens of its own.)
The administration aims to teach them—literally.
Liberal hot air emissions are a bigger threat. We may end up teaching them a lesson in 2010. Good Lord willin'...
Global Warming and Other Modern Day Fairy Tales
From the Guardian, whose editorial board is disappointed that President Obama has yet to command the oceans to recede:
Europe has been increasingly critical of America's failures to live up to its global responsibilities. The US is not only the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases but is by far the largest per capita emitter of carbon and other pollutants.
Oh yeah, Bozo? The US also happens to be the world's largest emitter of international aid, cutting edge electronic consumer products, and medicine and medical equipment, not to mention scientific research.
So blow it out your bagpipes you limey lecturers! *
Everything's a catastrophe with these anointed cognoscenti. Banking crisis; credit crisis; people aren't buying enough union-made cars crisis; illegal aliens and bullet-proof 20-somethings won't buy health insurance crisis...
When nobody believes their insipid global warming propaganda, they scream louder!
Here's some advice: Shut Up!
Here's some advice for these people: Shut up and get out of my face! Get your grubby dickskinners off our lives and go fix the bloated, bankrupt government you've been entrusted with!
Global warming is a sun-spot induced fairy tale, and wanting to blow trillions to turn down the earth's thermostat when temperatures are already falling is the pinnacle of scientific and economic ignorance.
So just shut up and put your wagging finger away! If the earth catches fire I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.
* Apologies to my British friends. You're not limeys, just the stupid ones are.
Cap and Trade - Your cost: Only $1,761 per Year!
Kudos to CBS News for doing some real reporting!
The Obama administration has privately concluded that a cap and trade law would cost American taxpayers up to $200 billion a year, the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15 percent.
At the upper end of the administration's estimate, the cost per American household would be an extra $1,761 a year
I think it would be a generous gesture if Nancy Pelosi and her uber-rich guilty white liberal friends, Al Gore and his flock, and Hollywood celebrities would pick up this tab for the American people. After all, they are so much richer than the rest of us, and would it be such a big price to pay, really, to get the Europeans to like us, nay, love us again?
C'mon you rich and famous bastards! Do your part for America! It's patriotic!
These damning numbers were discovered as the result of a Freedom of Information request. The documents were turned over, but CBS notes that they were redacted:
One odd point: The document written by Jaffee includes this line: "It will raise energy prices and impose annual costs on the order of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX." The Treasury Department redacted the rest of the sentence with a thick black line.
The Freedom of Information Act, of course, contains no this-might-embarrass-the-president exemption. You'd hope the presidential administration that boasts of being the "most open and transparent in history" would be more forthcoming than this.
Woo Hoo! It's nice to see some actual reporting again. Thanks, CBS!
News Media -vs- The American People
What's wrong with the media? They take sides
We've already seen them attacking ordinary Americans that show up at town hall meetings and TEA Party rallies. They go after someone for having a muddled message or for attacking big government while receiving social security.
Participating in a coerced system where you have no choice is hardly hypocritical. And just because that electrician from Wheeling doesn't have a perfectly crafted speech prepared doesn't mean he's ignorant or insincere.
Could you imagine if every one of those ordinary citizens had well-prepared talking points? Then the critics would claim they were too well-rehearsed, or merely regurgitating Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin or Glenn Beck.
We Learn, Then We Vote
The arrogant cognoscenti who make such "regurgitation" comments fail to see that they, and anyone who listens or reads, can be accused of the same charge. It's called "learning."
This would all be well and good if reporters and pontificators subjected liberals to the same critical analysis. But they don't. Here's a good example.
First, note Time Magazine's critical tone towards conservative protesters:
On Sept. 12, a large crowd gathered in Washington to protest ... what? The goals of Congress and the Obama Administration, mainly — the cost, the scale, the perceived leftist intent. The crowd's agenda was wide-ranging, so it's hard to be more specific. "End the Fed," a sign read. A schoolboy's placard denounced "Obama's Nazi Youth Militia." Another poster declared, "We the People for Capitalism Not Socialism." (Source: Time Magazine)
The clear implication is that these angry racists don't know what they're protesting, don't know what they're doing, don't know what they stand for... Nothing to see here but some fringe kooks...
Next, note how Politico reports on a liberal cause:
One of the country’s leading Hispanic organizations is launching a campaign designed to pressure CNN to rein in host Lou Dobbs.
The organization behind the campaign, Democracia Ahora, is kicking off the effort Friday with the release of a report based on interviews with 100 Hispanic leaders about the impact of Dobbs’ evening show.
The results of the report are not surprising – 90 percent of the interviewees believe Dobbs is helping create a negative image of Hispanics, with his frequent criticisms of illegal immigration. (Source: Politico)
A groundswell of millions of people who pay taxes and vote means nothing, and is reported on with smirky, snarky bites. But a little liberal activist group gets mad at Lou Dobbs for reporting the facts about illegal immigration and that's treated with the utmost of seriousness.
Is it any wonder Pew Research reports that the news media's credibility is completely shot?
More on the media's faulty logic...
Government Health Care: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
So … Let me get this straight...
Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it,
Passed by a Congress that hasn't read it and whose members will be exempt from it,
Signed by a President who smokes,
Funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes,
Overseen by a government that is blind to Wall Street corruption, Bernie Madoff, and illegal immigration
and paid for by a country that is broke.
What could possibly go wrong?
How Liberalism Perpetuates Itself
RIVERVIEW, FL -- A Riverview man landed in jail after punishing his daughter.
According to an arrest report, 34-year-old Jose Ajpacaja-Ajiataz beat his daughter with a belt, then shaved off her hair.
Liberal social workers would rather she become a thieving little slut who can then be brought into the system that harvests oppressed minorities for their votes.
Obama Foreign Policy: Slap your Friends, Appease your Enemies
President Obama gave Vlad the Impaler the green light last week when he announced we're retreating from our European missile shield plans.
"Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back," the Polish tabloid Fakt declared on its front page. (AP)
The Economist, a respected British publication, observes that either the Obama Administration does not understand Central Europe, or it doesn't care.
The timing of the announcement is poor, coming on September 17th, the anniversary of the Soviet attack on Poland in 1939. In a country highly tuned to symbolic snubs, it matters that nobody in Washington seemed to know or care about that.
The news was broken clumsily too: the Czech prime minister was woken by a brief phone call from Mr Obama the night before the decision was made public.
This is a shame. These countries escaped Communist Russia's clutches a scant 20 years ago. They are a little more attuned to reality and it's darker side than their Western cousins who laze under the US Security umbrella while criticizing their protectors. Eastern Europe and the Caucasus really are the frontiers of freedom, and we are abandoning the inhabitants to fend for themselves against an angry, vengeful bear.
This shield was not just about protecting Europe. More importantly, it was about building military ties and common interest partnerships with these Eastern European countries who genuinely admire the United states while still rightly fearing Russia. Unlike "allies" like France and Germany, these and other Eastern European countries field real armies that do real work. Remember that Poland has its own zone in Iraq. Romanians guarded Kandahar Airfield, ranging outside the wire, when I was there.
The Economist reader comments are telling:
earnil wrote:
Very, very good article. One of few that dares to point out Russian - German honeymoon. There's really no one else left to defend CE and EE countries as Old Europe already proved several times, that it's willing to exchange our nations for promise of peace any time.
BTW - recently publicly disclosed report of Czech intelligence agency shows, that there are clear connections between major public anti-base platform and Russian-influenced sources and also, that Russian intelligence agencies made one of their major objectives to undermine public support of US bases in CE. Guess situation in Poland has to be same. Clearly, this is a victory for Russian intelligence services.
BEK7 wrote:
Realistically, Europe has no other option than the USA as respects defense. The enormous costs of self-defense by Europe makes it highly improbable that they will pick up the burden of self-defense.
Doing so would cause a complete meltdown of the social welfare model in Europe. There is no political will to do so.
So the only alternative to the USA leaving is for Europe to admit that it is defenseless. Can you say "We surrender?"
Can Charity Resolve Our Health Care Dilemma?
Here's a though-provoking article, especially for conservative Christians who practice charity but oppose more government intervention in health care...
President Barack Obama's appeal to members of the clergy to support government-funded health care for all demonstrates a basic misunderstanding of the references to "keeping" one's brother and sister, the elderly and aliens.
This never was the king's responsibility. Rather, these commands are the responsibility of each individual according to the dictates of conscience and ability for the purpose of cultivating personal compassion, gratitude and community — things a trillion-dollar bureaucracy never could achieve. SOCIALISM: Masturbation in a Closet
The media is all a flutter about the upcoming release of Michael Moore's Capitalism: A love story.
Michael Moore's overly simplistic definition of Capitalism is "legalized greed". He uses the example of a pie on a table cut into ten slices and one guy at the table says "Nine of those slices are mine... and the other nine of you can fight over the last slice, that's the kind of economy we have now".
But honestly, look at the pie... someone grew the fruit in the pie, someone grew the sugar, someone grew the wheat in the crust. If I go to the store, buy the canned fruit, sugar, flour, eggs... spend two hours in the kitchen whipping it all together, bake it in the oven, and put it out on the table before you...
ALL TEN OF THE SLICES ARE MINE YOU COMMUNIST ASSHOLE!!!
The government that we have today is completely out of control and the problem isn't capitalism, it's socialism. The founding father's understood well the dangers of Democracy, which is why they established a Republic. In Michael Moore's deranged world-view a majority vote is a moral vote... it's the classical example of "tyranny of the majority" and why we have a constitution in the first place.
Michael Moore's problem is he thinks he's entitled to the pie at all! In Michael Moore's world, the government comes by and takes half (or more) of the farmer's fruit, half of the farmer's grain, half of the farmers wheat, and when you're done, comes and takes half your pie.
Moore: "Some things are just wrong. And this capitalist economic system that we have, it might have been right at one point, it's not right now. And I don't think we are ever going to put the genie back in the bottle. So we need to come up with something new to replace it. And I'm not talking about... This isn't a debate between capitalism versus socialism."
No Michael? What is it? Moore says "I'm actually suggesting go [sic] back to the roots of this country, democracy." Democracy? But democracy is not an economic system. What exactly is it that you are proposing? I bake the pie and the neighbors come over and vote on who gets a slice? One is left wondering, if it isn't socialism, exactly what is Michael Moore advocating?
Socialism: Masturbation in a closet. It feels good, but doesn't really do anyone any good.
AND MICHAEL.... STAY AWAY FROM THE PIE!
Chairman Obamao's Little Red Book
The rank condescension, treating us all like children, is what I find most galling about the Obama Administration in particular, and liberals in general.
And then there are the brainwashed masses...
* The hosanna shouting Hopium Smokers in the press;
* The intellectually, morally and financially bankrupt congressional politburo writing important laws restricting the capacity of flush toilets while continuing to worm their way into every corner of our lives;
* And those servants of the Ministry of Culture and Propaganda, the Hollywood celebutards pledging their pathetic, plastic lives to Obama.
They lecture on on things even a moron knows, and act as though they just thought it up themselves
We didn't know how to wash our hands before The Great O entered our lives!
We thank Minister of Hygiene Sebelius for teaching the masses how to cough.
Our children cared nothing for school until the dear leader imparted his words of wisdom and encouragement to them. "Get serious, work hard, sit up straight..."
Wow! What wisdom! How did we ever educate our young before The Big O rolled into our lives?
When they're not pronouncing the patently obvious as though they were Moses descending from Mount Sinai with The Tablets, they spout absurdities:
Expanded health care for all, and it won't add one dime of debt!
Terrorists attacked us from Canada
"Spend our way to prosperity" is my personal favorite. Right up there with Eat Yourself Thin. And if you disagree with The Big O-genda, you're a racist!!!
Enough Already! Shut Up! STFU! I'm tired of your lectures! And so is everybody else who isn't a mushy-headed libtard! So just shut up and leave us alone. Mankind survived before you got here and it will continue once you're gone.
Even Bill Maher (who I grudgingly respect when I'm not wanting to punch that smirk off his face), is fed up:
New Rule: Now that we've answered his call to wash our hands, President Obama must continue to tell us how to live. Last week, when America was faced with the pan-global swine flu omega death plague, the President went on TV and told people to wash their hands, and experts tell us this made a big difference, which augurs well for next month's "National Wipe Your Butt Day." Next week, in a fireside chat, he'll tell us not to put a fork in the toaster.
Maher better watch it. He may find himself on the enemies list next to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. As for me, I agree with Reverend Gregori: No thanks. I've already got a Messiah.
The Death of the Race Card
Everything that has a beginning has an end...
In Washington these days, every time someone stands up to tell the bald truth they are at risk of being called a Racist. "You lie!" racist. "Obamacare will kill off medical care as we know it!" racist. "Congressman Rangel has been cheating on his taxes for years - and he writes the tax code!" you racist!
Emotional fatigue. That will deal most of this political correctness the death blow. Yes, the death of all forms of political correctness will take some time. We are witnessing the beginning stages.
Every word has a well of emotion attached to it. Use it too much, and the word goes from Wired to Tired to Expired. What will the liberals do when this racist six-shooter has no more bullets?
I believe in the American people. However, aside from all their strengths, Americans are too willing to entertain fools and even those who walk up and slap them in the face. But not forever.
The American people are waking up to the lies they have been told. Global warming... peak oil... government-generated statistics... taxation... the list goes on and on. That's good and a sign we are growing up and putting childish things behind us.
I used to work in a government bureaucracy and every year they marched us into "workplace relations" training for two hours. I remember coming out of one - the message between the lines was that if you were white, you were naturally a racist. That really torqued me off. A fellow captain said quietly, "That was really revealing!" - and sure enough, it was.
Every year thereafter I would expose the workplace relations briefer as a racist - for example, I would uplift Condi Rice. For a brief moment in time, the briefer showed intense hatred of this "sellout". It was plain as day to everyone. The other workers began to jump in and verbally shred most of the points presented in the briefing. I sat in the back with a smirk. Mission accomplished.
Like I said, I believe in the American people. It has been said before that there are two types of Americans: those who believe in the common sense of the American people, and those who constantly defer to those in authority, the elite.
So don't worry. The stock of Political Correctness is going down. Common sense is going up.
When you see silly things like this, know well the end is nigh:
Be a conservative warrior. Read these books now!
Walter Krankheit: Press is Acornered
Hannah Giles and James O' Keefe. Extraordinary citizens doing the investigative journalism the American news media just won't do.
If I had my choice I would kill every reporter in the world, but I am sure we would be getting reports from Hell before breakfast.
-- William Tecumseh Sherman
Like my hero General William Tecumseh Sherman, I generally detest reporters, and my time in the Middle East only reinforced my dim view of this "profession."
Oh, there are some excellent ones: Robert Kaplan, Michael Yon and Michael Totten come to mind. Nat Hentoff is another good one, and I admired Lucia Newman's reporting on the Noriega regime. I was there and can verify she was brave and on-target, so much so her life was in danger. She had to leave so fast she couldn't even take her stuff with her. A friend of mine had to watch her apartment for her so her stuff wouldn't get stolen.
But the vast majority of reporters and news presenters could fall off the edge of the earth with no noticeable impact.
Is it any wonder Pew Research reports that the news media's credibility is completely shot?
Just 29% of Americans say that news organizations generally get the facts straight, while 63% say that news stories are often inaccurate.
Similarly, only about a quarter (26%) now say that news organizations are careful that their reporting is not politically biased, compared with 60% who say news organizations are politically biased
Walter Krankheit Syndrome (Noun):
A severe psychological disorder that seizes those who claim to be journalists. It is characterized by inflated ego coupled with paralysis of the thought process. It is made worse by the euphoric hopium-induced haze that beclouds the media's collective consciousness. Named in honor of the late war correspondent and CBS News anchor, and with a nod to the German-speaking psychologist Sigmund Freud. (Krankheit is German for Sickness.)
ITS THE POLITICS STUPID
Or why can't a white man disagree with a black man without being a racist?
It seems to be all over the press these days, one can not dissent politically without being a racist. It seems to be the Lefts only answer to dissent.... RACIST!
Talia Whyte in her column said "Replace the word "Socialist" with "N****R" and it reads the same".
Maureen Dowd was forced to translate for those liberals who didn't understand conservative-speak, what Joe Wilson actually yelled was "YOU LIE, BOY!" In her racist fantasy bubble she has convinced herself that "Some people can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it". Of course, some people do believe that, they are not however confined to being conservatives.
Even former President Jimmy Carter has gotten into the act, and he is extremely worried. In the MSNBC video it was stated that "A certain number of signs and images have featured racist and other violent themes"... these were the signs that appeared in the video supporting their position, if I missed something racist please let me know (there was a woman in a T-shirt I couldn't read):
No to socialized medicine
Change we don't believe in
Hitler gave good speeches too
Throw all the bums out
A picture equating Obama with the Joker in Batman
Close the Border
Bury Obamacare with Kennedy
Re-Elect Nobody
The truth will set the US free
Obama's change - Change we don't need.
President Carter went on to say "An overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity towards Barack Obama is based on the fact he is a black man, on his being an African-American. I live in the south and I've seen the south come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shared the south's attitude towards minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans... that racism in connection still exists and I think it has bubbled up to the surface because of a belief by many white people, not just in the south but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance and grieves me and concerns me very deeply".
What grieves me and concerns me very deeply is the fact that it appears that I can no longer disagree with anyone who is not white without fears of being branded a racist, by people who can not defend their politics rationally.
Truth be told, I am proud that America has elected an African-American President... truth also be told I would much rather have Condoleeza Rice, or Colin Powell in the Chief Executives chair than Barack Obama. It has nothing to do with race, everything to do with politics.
Former President Carter closed with "Obama's personal qualities will enable him to triumph over the racist attitude that is the basis of the negative environment that we see so vividly demonstrated in public affairs in recent days".
No, we couldn't possibly disagree with you on your obviously extremely sane, rational, and well thought out policy proposals... we all must be racists! No one could think that more government programs, more governments spending, more government expansion, and more government meddling in affairs constitutionally outside of its purview could possibly be wrong.
Lydia Depillis CBS: A report from the ground characterized the 9/12 protest as "America threw a gigantic temper tantrum in Washington D.C", as a "Anti-government fit", and as "anti-government events collectively known as the 9/12 project".
First of all, in order to be anti-government (and don't get me wrong...we are!), the protest would have to be about government as it is, not as it may become if you deluded socialists get your way. We are protesting not government, but your deluded visions of what government should become. We don't care where you came from, what color your skin is, what your religion or sexual preference is... we think you are WRONG! Lily-White or not! You use the term "racist" as McCarthy used the term "communist", to advance your own argument not on merit, but by demeaning and devaluing your opponent, by labeling him... you really ought to look up the term "bigot" before labelling others:
Bigot: A person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices. One who regards members of a group with hatred or intolerance.
Cause quite frankly we aren't racists but you certainly appear to be bigots.
Camille Paglia Skewers Elite, Gullible Democrats
How has "liberty" become the inspirational code word of conservatives rather than liberals?
Camille Paglia is the only reason I visit Salon. She's a liberal feminist lesbian college professor who is also a brilliant thinker and writer. She enjoys skewering the unthinking, illiberal, doctrinaire left, and she defends Sarah Palin from the unfair attacks while still disagreeing with every stitch of her politics. She is a rarity: A true, intellectually honest liberal academic.
She can't stand elitism, least of all in her own ideological cohort:
Why has the Democratic Party become so arrogantly detached from ordinary Americans? Though they claim to speak for the poor and dispossessed, Democrats have increasingly become the party of an upper-middle-class professional elite, top-heavy with journalists, academics and lawyers (one reason for the hypocritical absence of tort reform in the healthcare bills).
She asks the question I often ask. How did these supposedly smart, iconoclastic liberals become so gullible?
Weirdly, given their worship of highly individualistic, secularized self-actualization, such professionals are as a whole amazingly credulous these days about big-government solutions to every social problem.
They see no danger in expanding government authority and intrusive, wasteful bureaucracy. This is, I submit, a stunning turn away from the anti-authority and anti-establishment principles of authentic 1960s leftism.
But affluent middle-class Democrats now seem to be complacently servile toward authority and automatically believe everything party leaders tell them.
What does she blame for this? Our Education System
Is it because the new professional class is a glossy product of generically institutionalized learning? Independent thought and logical analysis of argument are no longer taught.
Elite education in the U.S. has become a frenetic assembly line of competitive college application to schools where ideological brainwashing is so pandemic that it's invisible.
The top schools, from the Ivy League on down, promote "critical thinking," which sounds good but is in fact just a style of rote regurgitation of hackneyed approved terms ("racism, sexism, homophobia") when confronted with any social issue. The Democratic brain has been marinating so long in those clichés that it's positively pickled.
It is refreshing to hear someone from the hallowed halls of academe say this. We no longer teach students how to think so much as what to think.
The election of an ordinary, inexperienced, neighborhood agitator to the highest office in the land needs no further explanation.
Democrats Heckled by the Truth
So they want to formally punish Rep Joe Wilson for daring to shout the truth...
Ever notice how after the left screams through their state-controlled media bullhorns that conservatives are all stoopid doody-head liars, they then are forced to address the "lie."
If Sarah Palin was so stupid and uniformed about her imaginary "death panels," then why did they amend the bill after her comments?
You Lie!
The latest correction concerns Congressman Wilson shouting "you lie!" during the president's partisan political harangue to the nation. If anyone broke decorum, it was the president, who treated that august occasion as a campaign stop to fire up the nutroots.
First, an interesting dollop of pro-Obama propaganda from the Toilet Paper of Record:
...but based on the proposals so far, Mr. Obama’s overarching point is accurate: the legislation would not allow illegal immigrants to get the proposed government subsidies that would make it easier for low-income individuals and families to afford health insurance.
Ramesh Ponnuru quickly shoots that one down:
Here's the entirety of PolitiFact's discussion of this issue, in a fairly long piece about Wilson vs. Obama: "The bill specifically says that people in the United States illegally are not eligible for tax credits, on page 132, section 242."
So what? The law "says" that people aren't supposed to be here illegally in the first place, after all.
Great point. Congress has passed immigration laws, but 20 million illegal immigrants living and working here pretty much make a mockery that, don't they? So we find out the Democrats really are lying, and Congressman Wilson was right:
Many Democrats fear that verification procedures keep legal residents from getting insurance, and in the House, they rejected Republican attempts to add verification requirements to the House health care bill.
Now comes Propaganda Minister Gibbs to clarify:
The White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, said Thursday that Mr. Obama would go further, barring illegal immigrants from buying private health insurance through a proposed government-regulated marketplace, even if they could afford the coverage on their own.
If Congressman Wilson lied, why are they correcting what he lied about?
So, Obama and the Pelosicrats will bar illegals from buying health insurance? Just like we bar them from illegally entering the country?
Man Damages Neighbor's House with Cannon Fire
Would having a cannon ball crash through the side of your house make you reconsider gun control?
If cannons are outlawed only outlaws will have cannons...
Actually, it was a Civil War history buff who blew a hole in the side of his neighbor's house with a civil war era cannon:
William Maser, 54, fired a cannonball Wednesday evening outside his home in Georges Township that ricocheted and hit a house 400 yards away. The cannonball, about two inches in diameter, smashed through a window and a wall before landing in a closet. Authorities said nobody was hurt. (Source:
NBC Philadelphia)
President Obama had this to say:
"It's not surprising, in these backwoods areas like Pennsylvania, where toothless hicks cling to their cannons and their history books, taking out their rightwing fury on innocent Democratic voters."
When Helen Thomas shouted that she'd heard the man was trying to hit a busload of Guatemalan immigrants, Press Secretary Gibbs shrugged and noted it wouldn't be the first time angry Republicans did something stupid to alienate the Hispanic vote.
Two Million March Against Obamismo
NY Slimes called it "Thousands...
WaPo called it Tens of Thousands...
... but it took a
respected British paper to call it what it was: Millions!
Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.
The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
This quote was typical:
Like countless others at the rally, Joan Wright, 78, of Ocean Pines, Md., sounded angry. "I'm not taking this crap anymore," said Wright, who came by bus to Washington with 150 like-minded residents of Maryland's Eastern Shore.
"I don't like the health-care [plan]. I don't like the czars. And I don't like the elitists telling us what we should do or eat."(Source: Daily Mail)
Matt Welch, Editor in Chief of Reason Magazine was there and gives us his libertarian impressions:
Big crowd. Do not believe any description that says "thousands." If there weren't at least a healthy six figures there, I will permanently revoke my head-counting license.
Of the people I ended up talking to, the general vibe was that they were conservative, and then either Republican, formerly Republican, or independent.
Every single one had unkind words to say about George W. Bush's spending and governing record, though none had protested him. None expressed trust in Republicans, and most preferred a "throw-all-the-bums-out" strategy.
All but one did not care about Obama's birth certificate controversy, and those I asked thought it was foolish to bring guns to political gatherings.
How do we know everybody behaved themselves? Because if there had been one swastika or racist comment, it would be plastered wall-to-wall, 24/7 by Obama's state-run media lapdogs at CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC...
What a fun loving crowd! Unlike the angry, drug addled rabble on the left that protests anything their agitation leaders with bullhorns tell them to.
Notice how the US state-controlled media has really played this down? I guess protest is not authentic when done by people with jobs who pay their own way, bathe regularly and don't throw feces or burn flags.
Here's a CNN report I found on Breitbart TV. The reporter lady can barely be heard over the crowd shouting "Tell the truth!" and "Glenn Beck!"
