Killer Compassion

Immigration is not compassion. By providing an immigration safety valve, the US is doing more harm than good.
Say we grant amnesty to every single alien here. Then what? What about those still endangering their lives to get here? Do we let them in to? What about those too weak or too aged to make the trek? What becomes of the hollowed-out villages we have denuded of the best and brightest?
