There were a lot of touching 9-11 dedications yesterday from my fellow conservative bloggers, but Dr. Dave observed that to a disturbingly large number of people, it was just another day.
Even the Coast Guard seems to have forgotten, causing CNN to go into "ready, fire, aim" mode in a giddy rush to report another catastrophe.
Conduct an exercise? On the Potomac? On 11 September? In the military, we have a special term for that: Stupid On Station.
Darryl Worley wrote an awesome song after 9-11 that is more relevant today than ever. He is a fine man, a patriot and a supporter of troops surpassed only perhaps by Charlie Daniels.

Great song about a sucky day no doubt sir....
"Stupid On Station" says it quite pithy Silverfiddle as we already know they're all still stuck on stupid from a few years ago.....
Speaking of Stuck on Stupid, I heard General Honore (The author of that brilliant phrase, which he aimed at the press, btw) is thinking of getting into politics.
Good call, I actually forgot that warrior's name Silverfiddle! That was hilarious and he would make a fine politician, and would get our support I'm sure....."unless he pulls a Powell"
