The Death of the Race Card

Everything that has a beginning has an end...

In Washington these days, every time someone stands up to tell the bald truth they are at risk of being called a Racist. "You lie!" racist. "Obamacare will kill off medical care as we know it!" racist. "Congressman Rangel has been cheating on his taxes for years - and he writes the tax code!" you racist!

Emotional fatigue. That will deal most of this political correctness the death blow. Yes, the death of all forms of political correctness will take some time. We are witnessing the beginning stages.

Every word has a well of emotion attached to it. Use it too much, and the word goes from Wired to Tired to Expired. What will the liberals do when this racist six-shooter has no more bullets?

I believe in the American people. However, aside from all their strengths, Americans are too willing to entertain fools and even those who walk up and slap them in the face. But not forever.

The American people are waking up to the lies they have been told. Global warming... peak oil... government-generated statistics... taxation... the list goes on and on. That's good and a sign we are growing up and putting childish things behind us.

I used to work in a government bureaucracy and every year they marched us into "workplace relations" training for two hours. I remember coming out of one - the message between the lines was that if you were white, you were naturally a racist. That really torqued me off. A fellow captain said quietly, "That was really revealing!" - and sure enough, it was.

Every year thereafter I would expose the workplace relations briefer as a racist - for example, I would uplift Condi Rice. For a brief moment in time, the briefer showed intense hatred of this "sellout". It was plain as day to everyone. The other workers began to jump in and verbally shred most of the points presented in the briefing. I sat in the back with a smirk. Mission accomplished.

Like I said, I believe in the American people. It has been said before that there are two types of Americans: those who believe in the common sense of the American people, and those who constantly defer to those in authority, the elite.

So don't worry. The stock of Political Correctness is going down. Common sense is going up.

When you see silly things like this, know well the end is nigh:

There are those speak out against it and live it. There are those that speak out against it and support it. Racism is barrier that is never should never be a barrier. National hispanic month and National Black month-I consider racist. But is the observation of accomplishment by a particular race or skin color.
My Hispanic and black friends thinks it a joke.

My President is black and so what!! I agree with somethings and somethings I don't. Does that make me a racist!! Hell No!! That means I can make my own decision about life. Those that play race card from all skin colors are jerks and needs to have their ass kicked-straight!!! I dare anybody to say to my face!!!!

I agree totally. Judge by the content of character.

Think about the passion that you wrote this comment... and multiply it by tens of millions. That is why I believe PC is heading out the door. I feel the same way.

Well said, Hugh. I wholeheartedly agree. The word "racist" like "nazi," has lost its sting from overuse and the American people are waking up, or, as you so aptly put it, growing up and putting away childish things.

Didn't some man with a messiah complex say something like that recently?
