Chinese Terror Hoax?

Bloomberg reports that China has reinforced physical security and clamped down on internet access in response to a terrorist attack in the western part of that country. The government has issued statements guaranteeing security during the Olympics. Buried in the story is this quote:
Two reporters working for Japan's Chunichi newspaper and Nippon Television Network were detained by police for two hours and beaten before being released, Kyodo English News said, citing the journalists' employers.
Does anyone besides me find it funny that China is doing everything the left accuses President Bush of doing, but is receiving no criticism?

Has it occurred to anyone besides me that the Chinese could be cooking up this whole terrorism thing to justify cracking down on annoying reporters and snooty Eurotrash?

So China can actually beat reporters and get a free pass, but President Bush and VP Cheney are Hitler and Goebbels reincarnated for supposed "crimes" that exist only in the fevered minds of the foam-at-the-mouth left.

See how this works, folks? Imaginary crimes by the leader of the free world, bad! Real crimes by ham-handed communists just isn't news. Is it any wonder the press just can't get no respect?

As a free marketeer, I am torn on the cheap junk from China issue. I don't like buying stuff from them, but I don't think our government should ban their stuff or put tariffs up, unless the poisoning of America continues due to their shoddy practices.

I wish I had an alternative to buying from China, but they seem to be few and far between.

Did you read what china said to President Bush? "Stay out of our internal affairs" Now why don't president Bush and the rest of Americans say to China "Stop dumping crap in our store shelves?"
