Water: The New Oil

Bloomberg has an interesting piece on the water situation out west. It's a long read, but quite interesting. Students of history know that wars are not fought over religion: They are fought over resources. Religion, language and historical grievances are merely motivational tools to stir up the masses.

Much of the world suffers from lack of potable drinking water, or any water at all. Even an affluent country like the US is facing water shortages, forcing us to rethink how we produce, deliver, and use this precious substance we take for granted.

Don't let the alarmists scare you. Delivering fresh water to those who need it is a challenge, but not a crisis, as Frank Rijsberman explains in this Alternet article.

Yes I can't argue with that and then since we are using up the gournd water at an alarming rate. Wells water tabels are dropping everywhere out west,

That's a fact. The reason I posted links to these two articles is that I want people to see the facts and not be duped by an Algore of water.

We have a growing problem concerning fresh water, but it is not a crisis.

I got an idea we cut california off of the Colorado water and fund solared desalinzatin water plants in California. They could solar powered ships to take and the salt into ocean.

California will have to look at desalinization. They are cutting off water to farmers. We've got to do something.

Water will become more expensive.
