Gen. Powell: Obama Lacks Experience

Has anyone else caught how General Powell called Barack Obama inexperienced? Look at this quote from Meet the Press:
GEN. POWELL: And he is surrounding himself, I'm confident, with people who'll be able to give him the expertise that he, at the moment, does not have.
There you have it folks. The man who endorses him says he doesn't have the expertise he needs to be president.

Also, does the general seriously believe that the Republican party has shifted more to the right than when he served in the Reagan administration? I still greatly respect and admire General Powell, but this is beyond the pale:
And I look at these kinds of approaches to the campaign and they trouble me. And the party has moved even further to the right, and Governor Palin has indicated a further rightward shift.

Is Powell correct when he says that the Republican party is shifting to the right???

Here to answer that question is Minnesota Republican Senator Michelle Bachmann

Video of Senator Michelle Bachmann on Hardball

So...what do you think. is Colin Powell was just being overly sensitive

So what was "Far Right" about that robo-call?

It is a fact that Obama did indeed work closely with Bill Ayers, spending millions to radicalize poor students and their families, while having no affect on the quality of the schools.

It is pure conjecture what a new government will look like, but a reasonable person could easily conclude that the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Totalitarian Triangle will usher in the most liberal government we've ever seen.

Ronald Reagan worked with congress to cut off all abortion funding. He also cut taxes and dealt a blow to unions. You're going to have to provide more than a phone call to back the assertion that the GOP has moved to the right.

McCain is more to the right than Ronald Reagan? It just ain't so.

The General said he understands this is politics. Note he said he's disturbed by it, but he really didn't make too much of it.

Also note that he has always held moderate views on cultural conservative touchstones such as abortion and gun control. He has never been a fire-breathing right winger.

I do not judge greatness by political beliefs. I still respect and admire General Powell. I wish we had more men of his stature. I was ready to vote for him in 1996 but the ACU ran him out of the primary race and I have refused to give them any money since then.

Now, do you think it's a stretch to say that Powell called Obama inexperienced?

I'd rather has Mrs. Palin's experience over Mr. Biden's and Mr. Obama's experience any day.

Hey Ohio Joe! Notice how these more liberal people show up, throw down a challenge and then never return to rebut my answer?

Maybe I'm just too mean...

I hope you're voting, brother. Mac and Sarah are going to need every vote they can get to counter all those fraudulent Acorn voters

Yes, I will vote and my neighbors will too. BTW, you are right that liberals do not have answers. I have no doubt that we will win Ohio in a fair fight. While campaigning last night, I asked a young man who is related to one of our state's famous bloggers if he was afraid that ACORN could take the election. He thought that our lead was big enough to overcome ACORN's fraud. Nevertheless, I will do a bit our campaigning locally in the next few weeks not only so Conservatives can win down the ballot, but to help GOT(Replican)V in case there is a lot of fraud.
