Dangerous Deleware Cub Scouts

"The law is an ass."  And public officials who hide behind zero tolerance are bigger asses
Zachary Christie, 6, was ordered to spend 45 days in his district's alternative school for troublemakers after he tried to use the combination folding fork, knife and spoon to eat lunch at Downes Elementary School in Newark, Del.

The knife is banned as a dangerous instrument under the Christina School District's zero-tolerance policy, and officials said they were forced to act regardless of Zachary's age or what he planned to do with it.

Zero tolerance policies are are the last refuge of cowardly scoundrels too weak to join battle with craven lawyers who have softened up the battle field with frivolous lawsuits that benefit no one but themselves and the smug liberals they're in bed with.
Instead of protecting our liberties, our laws now pad and guardrail every aspect of life, boxing us into tighter and tighter spaces.

We've allowed the stupidest and most dangerous to dictate our lives

Airport security has spawned mini-me TSA wanna-be's all over.  Last summer, I was busted by private company uniformed personnel for trying to get into Six Flags with a pen knife.

So what happens if school officials let the kid go, and then some other kid gets punished for threatening someone with a knife?  Now the little thug's defenders shriek special treatment because the first kid got off scot-free.

Well, if someone cannot see the difference between eating lunch and threatening others, then they are too stupid to argue with and should be banished from any responsible position in society.

Can you believe the ignorance of those people? And how terrified that poor little boy must have felt.

Oh sure, a six-year-old child is a threat..to whom? He was eating with a spoon!!!

Stupid, ignorant, people.

Glad to know that his mother is fighting for her child and pulled him out of school.

Poor kid, they harmed him more than he could have ever harmed them.

Unfreaking believable!!

Hopefully public pressure will force the school district to eat crow on this one.

Gee, and when I went to school everybody pretty much had a pocket knife, in school and out, and nobody ever got stabbed... go figure. Me, I had a USMC pocket knife with a four inch and three inch blade my oldest brother gave me.

The problem isn't knives, it's society, culture, and PC pyscho-babble foisted upon us by overeducated morons with no common sense, to whom child-rearing is an intellectual exercise. If you ask me...the problems in society can be directly attributed to the abandoning of thousands of years of experiential knowledge for the advent of 60's onward pseudo-scientific psychological clap-trap.

Outside of purely physiological ailments, psychiatry, psychology, and social workers are a self-sustaining profession that keeps "getting better" while their subjects (society) keep getting worse... and they claim progress. I had a friend with three kids on Ritalin... without Ritalin they ran around, screamed, hollered, wrassled, jumped around, and made an overall ruckus... as I told my friend, they were kids not short adults, don't like them? Don't have them... but childhood is not a condition that can be cured by anything other than time.

As I said... It's not the knives, or the guns for that matter, it's the culture and until you fix that all other actions are moot.

Cheers
