Actually, it was a Civil War history buff who blew a hole in the side of his neighbor's house with a civil war era cannon:
William Maser, 54, fired a cannonball Wednesday evening outside his home in Georges Township that ricocheted and hit a house 400 yards away. The cannonball, about two inches in diameter, smashed through a window and a wall before landing in a closet. Authorities said nobody was hurt. (Source:President Obama had this to say:

I wonder if hte NCA "National Cannon Aossocation" will becoming to his aid. Diana Feinstein is introducing a bill to stop the sale of cannons and california is no longer allowing personel cannons at home unless. Unless they have hick proof locks on them.
Now the Hick association is in uproar in California saying and quote, "wees has videa shouingg te goverer cannt opns thees lcs." Teh Governor Arnold says it is a lie and believe's it is a democratic conspiracy so he doens't get elected for a turd turm.
