News Flash: Swearing Makes You Feel Better!

Anyone who's ever hit their thumb with a hammer or caught the meaty part of their hand in a returning M-9 slide bolt already knew this instinctively. Here's some scientific back up:
Researchers from the school of psychology at Britain's Keele University have found swearing can make you feel better as it can have a "pain-lessening effect," according to a study published in the journal NeuroReport.
It's psyche protection. Like a powerless child who yells when wronged, an adult who swears is trying to regain control of an overwhelming situation. That also explains leftist protesters.
