We had a Merry Christmas

We scaled back on the gift buying this year and gave a little more to charity. We went to church and thanked God for all he has given us. We enjoyed family togetherness, ate good, watched Christmas videos, moved the wise men closer each evening, and sang carols around the Christmas tree. We had a merry and blessed Christmas.

I awoke on the 26th to see headlines announcing this was the worst "holiday season" ever.
How can the worst retail holiday season in years get worse? It can become the worst holiday season since anyone kept accurate records.

There have been signs for several weeks that e-commerce and store sales were falling at single digit rates. But, as each day passed, the industry hoped that discounts would lure shoppers back into stores for that one final spending spree.

Qando, in a blasphemous fit, went so far as to call it a Black Christmas.

But this year, after a moderate uptick in shopping activity boosted by steep promotions the Friday after Thanksgiving, shoppers closed their wallets and reopened them only cautiously, worried by job losses, a sinking stock market and a recession climbing into its second year.

This Christmas was not black, and it was not a failure. A savior has been born. No man can change that.

The failure was with the Happy Holidays, Winter Solstice, secular plastic shop till you drop celebration. That was a bust.
Materialism coarsens and petrifies everything, making everything vulgar, and every truth false.

"Materialism coarsens and petrifies everything, making everything vulgar, and every truth false." -- Henri Frederic Amiel

Only when you look at Nature from within the eyes of delusional faith based beliefs that reject the truths of objective reality that Nature provides you at every turn. As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" it's also true that "ugliness is in the eye of the beholder" as well. Clearly Henri Frederic Amiel didn't like what he saw when he looked out at Nature, which he called Materialism. Yes, Nature makes all fake human truths false, all dreams of an afterlife and puffy white clouds playing harps false. Nature petrifies the hearts of delusional men and women alike. Nature is horrific. Nature is also beautiful. Enjoy your time here for it's all you get. The facts of life don't lie but Henri Frederic Amiel's and your fears of Nature's materialism do.

Nature shows us the way, because it is from nature we learn of God's natural law. The founding fathers believed it, and Einstein, although disbelieving in a personal god, did insist that our world was created by an intelligent entity.

So much of what we see today is people trying to deny that.

You're so sure there is no God? Kant has a few things to say about that.

Finally, why do atheists come off as bitter?

Merry Christmas!

"Nature shows us the way, because it is from nature we learn of God's natural law."

What "god" would that be? There are over ten thousand for you to choose from, all the same, imaginary figments which you have zero proof for.

"The founding fathers believed it, and Einstein, although disbelieving in a personal god, did insist that our world was created by an intelligent entity."

The number of people who believe something have nothing to do with whether or not it's real! More specious thoughts from mental midgets of faith.

There were many "founding fathers" who didn't believe.

Ah, you're also mistaken about Einstein, but it's irrelevant what he thought about it since it's the science not the beliefs of the man that are important but that's a point that you'll miss due to your delusional faith based lack of thinking. Newton was also a nut job with regards to religious and other silly beliefs of his however that doesn't alter the fact that he got really close on "forces of motion and gravity" which can be tested against objective reality to find out how accurate these laws of Nature are.

No law of your imaginary god can be tested against objective reality to find out if it's true or not for your god is simply a figment of your imagination.

"So much of what we see today is people trying to deny that."

Prove your god exists and there will be nothing to believe nor deny! Oh wait, you have no proof since it's just your imaginary friend.

"You're so sure there is no God? Kant has a few things to say about that."

Yes. Kant was a fool as are you.

Gods are not possible given the well known and well tested laws of Nature that we have direct testable evidence for. Your imaginary god is assumed to be omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. These traits are simply impossible given Einstein's Laws of Nature: General and Special Relativity. It's simply not possible to send information faster than the speed of "c" (light). This means that it's not possible for gods to be omniscient nor omnipresent nor omnipotent, except of course in your imagination which is where you take your "leap of faith" into your deep dark delusion which disconnects you from objective reality. You deny Nature and it's evidence. The evidence of no gods actually holds you to the surface of the planet Earth! If your god existed you'd fly off of the surface of the Earth into space!

"Finally, why do atheists come off as bitter?"

That's your delusional perception or argumentative methodology rather than any reality over here. Besides, so what? It's irrelevant how you perceive me. It won't change the facts of life with you are ignoring with your delusional faith based beliefs.

I cannot prove that their is a GOD to those who refuse to believe, but I do know that my life has been Blessed by GOD. There are just too many coincidences that point to the fact that not only is there a GOD, but that he is blessing us. Yes, I have worked hard, but I among others have also experienced good fortune. Some of this fortune has to come from a Super Natural Being.

Peter: It is arrogant of you to think your constructed reality is superior. Immanuel Kant is a fool? You remind me of a little boy throwing an tiny, impotent pebble at a mighty citadel.
