President Obama Scolds Wall Street Over "Shameful" Bonuses
Senator Dodd: Pay the Money Back!

Wall Street is learning the truth of an old Ronald Reagan quote:
Get in bed with the government and you'll get more than a good night's sleep.
Being scolded by the government about shameful behavior and wasteful spending is like receiving a lecture on morals from a crack whore.

At least a wallstreet tycoon spends his money in a way that supports the private sector.

Government spends money to support government.

I am not saying that our goverment, "both democraps and repulbican'ts" didn't both loosen regulation to cause these problems in search for greater profit by getting away from conservative fundimentals. Yes, give that bonus during the times of plenty but do it but right before you ask help from our goverment.

What kind of business ethics do you live by? OH! The might dollar ethics-give 5000 to chairtiy and spend 10,000 talking about it! I think a little country ass kicking for these elitest is needed. Your resposniblity to the stock holders and your workers have been scewed!

this is the problem with gov't intervening in business. first it's the bonuses. next it's who they can or should hire. then it's environmental bs. then it's their advertising. and on and on and on. that quote from reagan is dead on.

gov't can't do anything well. the idea that gov't should tell businesses how they should be run is just plain laughable. i don't care how badly a business is run, allowing gov't dictate how it should be run will make it worse.

As much as I hate to see this, I can't help but derive some wry pleasure from seeing the Wall Street welfare queens taking this crap from the sanctimonious dems. They wanted government help and now they've got more than they can stand.

...or getting lectures from Michael Moore on dieting.

...or getting lectures from Barney Frank on the virtues of monogamy.

...or getting lectures from Tim Geithner on proper preparation of taxes.

...or getting lectures from Nancy Pelosi on the folly of (and need for taxation of) elective surgury.

I could go on, but I won't.

It's neat reading this old stuff, it brings the present into perspective.
