Independence Day


Happy 4th of July. Enjoy the long weekend, but please pause to remember those who fought and died to make that enjoyment possible. Freedom is never free.

A free people claim their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate.

Following your posts, I can't say I'm always on the same side of the fence, but I do enjoy reading them and appreciate how you arrive at your point of view, the depth of thought & knowledge you bring to it. Smart writing--keep on...thanks.

Thank you for the compliment. I can say the same about some progressive writers that I enjoy reading. I just wish we could debate issues without all the name-calling and shouting. Sometimes it's called for, and I'm guilty of it sometimes, but it gets old in a hurry.
